Project Overview
A high-tech enterprise in Shandong with high-quality talc resources decided to build a modern and advanced ultrafine talc powder production line. The project requirements included achieving ultrafine powder processing in the range of 800~1250 mesh while maximizing the preservation of talc's unique lamellar crystal structure. This ensures that the finished talc ultrafine powder maintains its reinforcing, toughening, and barrier properties in applications. After rigorous screening of technical proposals from multiple grinding equipment manufacturers, the client ultimately selected the CRLM Ultrafine Vertical Mill from Cronus Machinery as the core grinding equipment.

Project Details
Talc Raw Material → Raw Material Silo → Belt Feeder → Ultrafine Vertical Mill
Talc material stored in the raw material silo is uniformly fed into the CRLM Ultrafine Vertical Mill via the belt feeder for grinding and pulverization. Leveraging the low hardness and easy-grindability characteristics of talc, the equipment achieves efficient pulverization with low energy consumption while preserving talc's unique lamellar crystal structure. The ground talc powder enters the precision classifier for fine separation, ensuring the talc ultrafine powder can be flexibly adjusted within the 800~1250 mesh range with a concentrated particle size distribution.
Dust Collection System → Talc Ultrafine Powder
Subsequently, the qualified talc ultrafine powder is separated and collected by the dust collection system.
Main Equipment | Function Description |
Raw Material Silo | Stores talc raw material |
Belt Feeder | Employs a variable-frequency speed control feeding system to ensure smooth conveyance of talc material and prevent blockages |
CRLM Ultrafine Vertical Mill | Grinds talc material (≤10mm) into 800~1250 mesh talc ultrafine powder |
Dust Collection System | Separates and collects talc ultrafine powder and purifies excess dust |
Project Advantages
Professional Design: The CRLM Ultrafine Vertical Mill incorporates a special flow field design tailored to the low hardness and friability of talc, maximizing the preservation of the raw material's lamellar crystal structure and retaining its core value as a functional filler.
Precise Control: The finished talc ultrafine powder can be flexibly adjusted within the 800~1250 mesh range, meeting the specific fineness requirements of different high-end clients.
High Return on Investment: The produced talc ultrafine powder, due to its intact lamellar structure, offers strong market competitiveness and a high return on investment. The equipment operates with low energy consumption, significantly reducing operation and maintenance costs.
