Project Overview
A large-scale steel enterprise in Guizhou, aiming to comprehensively enhance blast furnace efficiency and production safety, decided to undertake a full-scale upgrade of its existing pulverized coal injection system. Following rigorous screening of technical proposals from multiple grinding equipment manufacturers, the enterprise ultimately selected Cronus Machinery, adopting a CRLM Vertical Mill system featuring multiple explosion-proof designs. This system integrates drying, grinding, and multi-layered explosion-proof dust collection technologies, fully aligning with the project objectives.

Project Details
Raw Coal Silo → Enclosed Batch Feeder → Vertical Mill
A mixture of bituminous coal and anthracite is conveyed sealedly into the CRLM Vertical Mill via the enclosed batch feeder for grinding and pulverization. Hot air simultaneously performs efficient drying on the raw coal with inherent moisture during the grinding process, ensuring the finished pulverized coal meets moisture standards. The dried and ground pulverized coal rises with the airflow to the classifier at the top of the mill for separation. Unqualified coarse powder falls back onto the grinding table for re-grinding, while qualified fine powder (200 mesh) is carried with the airflow into the explosion-proof plenum pulse bag filter.

This dust collector is specifically designed for pulverized coal characteristics, incorporating multiple explosion-proof measures such as anti-static filter bags, explosion venting valves, and nitrogen inerting protection, ensuring a safe and reliable pulverized coal collection process. The collected pulverized coal is discharged via the rotary discharge valve and then conveyed sealedly into the finished pulverized coal silo by the screw conveyor, ready for injection use.
