Screw Conveyor
Features and Advantages of Screw Conveyor
Enclosed Conveying: The tubular enclosed structure prevents dust leakage and material spillage, ensuring a clean and pollution-free conveying process while effectively maintaining material quality.
Flexible Installation: Requires minimal cross-sectional area and low installation space, making it suitable for narrow operating environments. It can be designed for horizontal, inclined, or vertical conveying and allows multi-point feeding and discharging through multiple gates.
Simple and Economical: Low investment cost for medium to short-distance conveying, with a simple structure and minimal daily maintenance requirements, resulting in significant overall economic benefits.
Working Principle of Screw Conveyor
Screw Rotation: The motor drives a rotating shaft equipped with helical flights via a reducer, rotating uniformly within a sealed pipe or trough.
Material Conveying: The rotation of the flights generates thrust, while gravity and friction constrain the material, causing it to slide and move, achieving directional and continuous pushing.
Flexible Discharge: Can be installed horizontally, at an incline, or vertically. By adjusting flight shape and rotation speed, it adapts to conveying at various angles. Multiple discharge openings can be set along the pipe for convenient intermediate discharge.
