CRLM Coarse Powder Vertical Mill Information Introduction
The CRLM Coarse Powder Vertical Mill is a heavy-duty grinding equipment designed by Cronus Machinery to process materials with large particle sizes (≤120mm), high moisture content (≤25%), and complex compositions. Through an integrated "crushing-drying-grinding-classifying" process, it efficiently converts bulk raw materials into uniform coarse powder in a single flow. It is the core equipment for large-scale industrial continuous production in fields such as cement raw meal, industrial solid waste, and metallurgical sintering.
CRLM Coarse Powder Vertical Mill Features & Advantages
Strong Adaptability: Wide range of applications. Equipped with a high-power main motor and heavy-duty reducer, it accepts large feed sizes (≤120mm) and can directly process materials with complex compositions.
Heavy-Duty Durability: Designed with wear-resistant, thickened grinding table and grinding rollers, plus a heavy-duty加压 device, ensuring robust construction and strong impact resistance.
Clogging Resistance: Static classification system utilizes fixed air guide vanes and blades to create a centrifugal force field for separation. The system is simple, reliable, and effectively reduces material clogging and wear issues.
Powerful Drying Capacity: Enhanced heating capacity of the hot air furnace, combined with high airflow volume and high pressure from the fan, enables direct processing of high-moisture, sticky materials (moisture content ≤25%).
Simple & Energy-Efficient: Equipped with a single-unit dust collection system, the process flow is simplified and system resistance is reduced, effectively saving fan energy consumption. The energy utilization rate is significantly higher than that of ball mills.
CRLM Coarse Powder Vertical Mill Process Flow
Raw Material → Coarse Powder Vertical Mill → Grinding and Drying → Static Classification → Dust Collector → Finished
Material Bed Grinding
Raw materials meeting feed requirements (particle size ≤120mm, moisture ≤25%) are fed into the coarse powder vertical mill via the conveying system. The drive system rotates the grinding table, and materials are scattered toward the area beneath the grinding rollers by centrifugal force. The grinding rollers, under pressure from the hydraulic system, crush and grind the material bed.
Powerful Drying Capacity
High-temperature hot air introduced from the bottom then penetrates the material bed, instantly evaporating moisture while the material is being crushed. The dried material is then carried upward by the high-speed rising airflow.
Static Classification
The material then enters the static classification system with the airflow. Classification is achieved by adjusting the flow guide devices. Coarse powder meeting the particle size requirements proceeds with the airflow to the collection system, while oversized particles that fail to pass are separated and return to the grinding table for regrinding, forming an internal circulation loop.
Collection & Dust Removal
Finally, the qualified coarse powder enters the single-stage dust collection system (using either electrostatic precipitator or baghouse dust collector) with the airflow. After gas-solid separation, the finished coarse powder is collected, and the purified gas is discharged by the exhaust fan.

Frequently Asked Questions About Coarse Powder Vertical Mill
What is the difference between a Coarse Powder Vertical Mill and a standard vertical mill?
The Coarse Powder Vertical Mill is mainly used for the production of coarse powder with low fineness requirements, while the standard vertical mill is primarily used for producing fine powder with uniform fineness and high added value.
Is the classification system of the Coarse Powder Vertical Mill dynamic or static?
The Coarse Powder Vertical Mill typically adopts a static or inertial classification system. This design features a simple structure, high throughput, wear resistance, and is not prone to clogging.
How to handle clogging in the Coarse Powder Vertical Mill?
The Coarse Powder Vertical Mill is equipped with inspection doors and cleaning ports. In case of clogging, cleaning can be performed through the cleaning port. Routine maintenance requires regular inspection of material accumulation on the grinding table and in the air duct.
