CRRM 2R Small Raymond Mill Information Introduction
The CRRM 2R Small Raymond Mill is a kilogram-scale grinding equipment designed by Cronus Machinery for small-scale powder processing requirements. It adopts a single cyclone design (dual cyclone customizable), featuring simple structure, small footprint, flexible installation and disassembly, with a focus on compactness and economy. It is suitable for processing various brittle materials with Mohs hardness below 7, non-viscous, non-fibrous, and with kilogram-scale demand.
Features and Advantages of CRRM 2R Small Raymond Mill
Compact Structure: Compact layout design with small footprint, only 60%~70% of conventional 3R/4R Raymond mills.
Simple and Flexible: Adopts single cyclone collector design, flexible installation and disassembly, simple operation and maintenance.
Strong Adaptability: Finished product fineness adjustable within 80~400 mesh, supporting kilogram-scale batch production of various brittle materials.
Economical and Energy-Saving: Low equipment operation energy consumption and investment cost, high return on investment, meeting the production needs of research institutions and small to medium enterprises.
Process Flow of CRRM 2R Small Raymond Mill
Raw Material → Small Crusher → Vibrating Feeder → 2R Small Raymond Mill → Single Cyclone Collector → Pulse Bag Filter → Finished Product
Raw Material Processing
Before entering the 2R Small Raymond Mill, the material must be crushed to ≤15mm particle size using a small crusher to reduce the load of the subsequent grinding process, and then uniformly and continuously fed into the main unit of the small Raymond mill by a vibrating feeder.
Grinding and Classification
After entering the grinding zone, the material is crushed by rotating grinding rollers. The crushed powder is conveyed by the system airflow to the top-mounted classifier for separation. Qualified fine powder passes through the classifier and enters the collection system, while unqualified coarse powder returns to the grinding zone for regrinding, forming a closed-circuit cycle.
Collection and Dust Removal
The collection system adopts a single cyclone collector and pulse bag filter. The single cyclone collector recovers most (80~95%) of the finished fine powder, while the pulse bag filter collects the remaining ultrafine dust and purifies the exhaust gas, with emission concentration complying with national standards.

Frequently Asked Questions about 2R Small Raymond Mill
Why does the 2R Small Raymond Mill typically adopt a single cyclone collector design?
The 2R Small Raymond Mill adopts a single cyclone design based on system optimization of capacity, cost, and operation. Its kilogram-scale capacity can be efficiently handled by a single cyclone collector (collection efficiency 80%~95%) without requiring complex flow distribution. Moreover, the single cyclone system significantly reduces equipment cost and footprint, with its simple and compact structure better suited for small-scale, flexible operation production requirements.
Under what circumstances does the 2R Small Raymond Mill require a dual cyclone collector design?
The dual cyclone collector design for the 2R Small Raymond Mill is a special customized solution, mainly applied when processing certain special materials or materials with high added value. For example, when processing high value-added materials (such as specialty materials, pharmaceutical excipients), the dual cyclone design increases the collection efficiency of the Raymond mill to over 99%.
What materials are suitable for the 2R Small Raymond Mill?
It is mainly suitable for non-viscous, non-fibrous brittle materials with Mohs hardness ≤7, such as calcite, limestone, talc, barite, gypsum, kaolin, etc. It is not suitable for high-hardness materials such as silicon carbide, corundum, nor is it suitable for processing viscous, tough, or heat-sensitive materials.
